Coppin State University's College of Business is offering a Management Degree Program 100% online to meet the life demands of today's student.
Responding to a call by the Obama Administration for Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) to offer more online education opportunities, Baltimore's Coppin State University has introduced a cutting-edge, business management program designed to provide a career-advancing degree with all the convenience and flexibility a top-notch education should provide. Classes can be taken totally online from anywhere with an Internet connection — on your time.
Launched in fall 2012 through Coppin's College of Business, this technology-driven bachelor's degree program features one-on-one, real-time interactions with the same seasoned professors that teach the on-campus business classes. The curriculum focuses on real-world business applications that not only prepare students for exciting careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors, but provides the strong business foundation needed for entrepreneurship.
With scholarships available for those who qualify, this online program offers a high-quality, career-ready degree that isn't just smart — it's smartly priced.
"In a recent survey, 86 percent of Coppin's students said they would enroll in an online course," Coppin State University Honors Dean Ronnie Collins said. "This online program provides students with more options to complete their degrees and move on to successful careers."
Recognizing that many potential students are not able to participate in traditional classroom-based higher education, Coppin State decided to offer a business management degree that would free those juggling work and family obligations from the daily, often time-consuming stresses of on-campus learning. There's no need to worry about moving near the campus, commuting, or even parking with this online business management degree program.
This online program offers the same level of academic excellence as on-campus learning, but without the scheduling conflicts that frequently accompany classroom learning. Instead of attending classes at a set time, students are able to learn whenever, or wherever, it's convenient for them — at home or on the go.
The program also offers those living out of state, or internationally, without access to a local HBCU to tap into the advantages of an HBCU education via distance learning.
Backed by a partnership with New York City-based education company Pearson Learning Solutions, the online management program will feature innovative education technologies—such as Skype, Lync, Blackboard and Tegrity—to help students learn in collaborative environments where students will have one-on-one and group discussions with both professors and peers.
While other online programs simply leverage one-dimensional message boards as the mainstays of their curriculum, Coppin State's online management program's advanced technologies provides distance learners with the same level of academic excellence as those attending on-campus classes.
The program's professors are Sloan-C certified, assuring that students learn through the most innovative online teaching strategies available.
All courses offered in the online management program are also Quality-Matters approved, guaranteeing courses are relevant, challenging, and effective.
Founded in 1900 and renowned for academic excellence in Maryland and beyond, Coppin State's campus is located in Baltimore, and offers 53 majors in addition to business management and nine other graduate degree programs in the arts and sciences, teacher education, nursing, graduate studies and continuing education.
